Mise à niveau aux arts appliqués
/ LYON / PARIS / NANCY / NICE / BORDEAUX
The Foundation year in Applied Arts aims to bring students up to the necessary artistic level and to provide them with the necessary basic skills in all the disciplines relevant to Applied Arts so that they may make mature and informed speciality choices.
At the end of the Foundation year, students may continue their studies in the Ecoles de Condé by following the various Applied Arts Certified Technician (CT) courses that are available (Bachelor in Visual Communication with graphic design or multimedia option, Bachelor in Spatial Design, Bachelor in Product Design, Bachelor in Fashion Design), by sitting the entrance examinations offered by Art or Architecture Schools or by joining the public system.
The Foundation year at the Ecoles de Condé follows the official curriculum set by the Ministry of Education.

“After completing a Bac L, I decided to do a Foundation year in Applied Arts at the École de Condé to learn the basics of drawing and to discover the different specialisations that exist in applied arts. I didn’t really know what I wanted to do after, but I learned a lot during my foundation year, both in fine arts and applied arts, as the programme allows you to get a feel for all the different areas. I am currently in my second year and intend to continue on to do a Master’s in Global Design. To be continued…”

“Half-way through my terminale ES, I didn’t really know which artistic training to follow. Having heard of the École de Condé through an organisation that my friend knew, I decided to do a Foundation year in Applied Arts. This has been an extremely varied year during which I have met some passionate professors, especially in my Artistic Expression and Fashion Design modules, the Bachelor course I then decided to do the year after. The advice my professors gave me was particularly useful in my choice of orientation during my Foundation year and then during my Bachelor course.”
