Master in Global Design
labellisé European Master

/ PARIS / LYON / BORDEAUX

The Post-graduate course in Global Design allows students in Applied Arts to strengthen their approach and skills, to summarise their achievements on all previous course work and to gain independence and professionalism.

In the first year, this programme is built around the management of multidisciplinary projects in small teams that enable our graduates to get used to the conditions of a professional work environment from the start. In parallel, artistic expression projects led by nationally and internationally recognised personalities allow our students to reinforce their creativity and to stand out by assuming the originality and relevance of their aesthetic choices.

The second year begins with an internship period, so that everyone may benefit from a concrete experience of issues related to their practice. Many use this time to go abroad: USA, Japan, Northern Europe, etc. Upon returning from their various internships, our students focus on writing a dissertation and designing a project for their diploma, which will be presented to a jury of professionals.

You may access the end of year projects that are available by clicking here.

The Master in Global Design is accredited by the European Accreditation Board of Higher Education Schools.

/ Alexandra Vial, 2007 Graduate

“After graduating from a degree in Visual Communication in 2006, I integrated the Post-graduate course in Global Design and then did a professional degree in Digital Creation and Development at Goblins-Paris the following year. I worked part-time for one year as a graphic web designer in an agency called Digitas, before getting a grant from the Gobelins School to do an internship in Berlin at the “Doppelpunkt” agency. From a personal point of view, I would like to say that the École de Condé Paris gave me the necessary tools to develop my creativity and personal style. The constructive feedback given by the teachers was always useful and pushed students to ask themselves the right questions.”

/ Florent Carlier, 2007 Graduate

“After a Bac S, I integrated the École de Condé Paris to do a Foundation year in Applied Arts and then continued my studies with a Post-graduate in Global Design. It was during my 2nd year of Master’s, during my final internship that I really set foot into the professional world. After 3 very enriching months spent in an agency in Tokyo, I joined the ReflexImage agency, specialised in publishing and the visual identity of premium brands. Upon obtaining my diploma, this particular agency offered me a full-time job as Junior Artistic Director. Over time, I was given more and more responsibility: selection of papers and materials, printing procedures for publishing, choice of illustrators and photographers, photo shoot direction, … This allowed me to work just as easily on the new identity of the city of Deauville as on a press release for Jack Daniel’s, for example.”

/ Céline Mieyeville & Aurélia Julien, 2010 Graduates

“For us, the advantages of the multidisciplinary approach of the Post-graduate in Global Design quickly became obvious. Today, design agencies require their associates to have a certain flexibility, knowledge in the related areas of application, as well as strong scientific competencies. Specialised in Spatial Design, we are now much more sensitive and involved when confronted with typographical work or the production of a prototype object or garment. It is really fulfilling, both on a personal and a professional level. What excites us the most about the second year of this post-graduate degree is the sheer amount of internships. With 3 internships to carry out, the opportunity to go abroad must naturally be seized! The USA has always been one of our favourite destinations. Through browsing the web and paying attention to design trends, we heard a lot about Florida and found two internships in Miami, a city that contributes immensly to the the extraordinary development of design agencies. It is an unknown universe that we are now entering, but it is above all a unique opportunity that will certainly be rewarding and fulfilling."
